Creating The Digital Backbone of Durack Civil

Durack Civil is a fast growing civil contractor delivering complex infrastructure projects across regional and remote Australia. The business had grown rapidly into sectors including energy, land development, federal road and housing upgrades and mining, building a reputation for high-quality delivery, strong relationships and meaningful community impact. But digitally, the business wasn’t being represented at the level it truly operated.

Like many growing companies, Durack’s marketing had evolved across multiple platforms, systems and workflows over time. Website updates were restrictive and time consuming. Video heavy storytelling, a major part of the Durack brand, was difficult to execute properly online. Tender submissions, capability statements, campaigns and social content often required duplication across disconnected tools, creating inefficiencies and limiting how effectively the business could present itself. The reality was simple: the standard of the company had outgrown the capability of the systems supporting it.

That’s where Bigfish and Tank came in.

Rather than delivering a traditional website rebuild, Bigfish developed a custom built CMS and brand management platform designed specifically around how Durack operates. This wasn’t an off the shelf template or plug and play solution. It was bespoke digital infrastructure built to centralise, protect and scale the company’s entire marketing operation. Hosted securely on Durack’s own server infrastructure, the platform is designed to handle high performance video content without compromise. The experience is seamless. No glitches, no lag, no buffering, just a premium digital presence that finally reflected the professionalism and scale of the business behind it. But the real transformation happened internally.

Tank gave Durack a single source of truth across its entire marketing function. Website content, tenders, capability statements, campaigns and socials became connected through one streamlined system. Every asset remained aligned to the Durack brand standard regardless of who was using the platform, creating a level of consistency and control normally associated with much larger global brands. For the first time, the marketing team had the freedom to move quickly without sacrificing quality.

Durack is no longer reliant on developers or external support for day to day execution. The team can build, adapt and deploy content rapidly while maintaining complete confidence in the brand experience being delivered across every touchpoint. The website has stopped being a static asset and has become the foundation of all marketing activity.

Project content flowed directly into campaigns. Existing assets could be repurposed quickly for tenders and capability statements. New initiatives could launch faster, with greater consistency and significantly less friction across the business. Today, Durack operates with the structure, consistency and agility of a global brand, entirely in-house.

For a company like Durack, marketing isn’t just about visibility. It’s about trust, credibility and capability. Tank created a system where the business could finally present itself digitally at the same standard it delivers operationally. It’s the difference between simply doing marketing and building the infrastructure behind long term brand growth.

“Durack Civil has always operated at an extremely high level, but before TANK, our digital presence didn’t fully reflect the scale, quality or professionalism of the business behind it. Like most marketing teams, you’re often limited by the platforms you use and how flexible those systems actually are. TANK changed that completely for us. It gave us the tools, structure and freedom to showcase the Durack brand at the standard it deserves.”
